Blessings International is a Christian 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry that provides medicine, medical supplies, and other products to short-term medical mission teams serving the indigent in the United States and developing nations, full-time clinics and hospitals in developing nations, disaster relief, and other medical missionary needs, as well as Blessings' own benevolent projects.


The Office Administrative Assistant/Receptionist serves an important role in the overall operation of the ministry. The following is the minimum personnel requirements and expectations of job performances.

1. Christian
1.1 Membership in good standing of a Christian church. Consistently participates in worship services, participates in the Christian life and witness of the church and lives a Christian lifestyle.
1.2 Christian overseas missionary experience with some business and/or medical components is preferred.
1.3 Relates well to Board members, employees, customers, and vendors, as well as individuals from various Christian denominations with whom the organization interacts.

2. Education
2.1 High School/GED or equivalent, Associate degree preferred.

3. Business experience
3.1 At least one year experience in an Administrative Asst. &/or Receptionist position.
3.2 Training and experience in computer usage including, but not limited to, word processing, email services.
3.3 Excellent organizational skills.
3.4 Excellent communication skills/written & oral.

4. Reporting Relationships
4.1 The Office Administrative Assistant/Receptionist reports to the Customer Service Manager.

5. Office Administrative Assistant/Receptionist Competencies
5.1 Answers all phone calls received to Blessings International.
5.2 Receives/greets all incoming visitors to Blessings International.
5.3 Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
5.4 Monitor info box and personal inbox and respond to inquiries.
5.5 Provide direct support to order processing team including but not limited to, myBlessings queries and SouthWare maintenance.
5.6 Maintains safe and clean reception area, conference room and refrigerators.
5.7 Prepare all mail pieces to be sent out by Blessings International.
5.8 Collects, sorts, and distributes incoming mail; code A/R checks.
5.9 Prepares mailings for newsletters or other communications as needed.
5.10 Oversee birthday celebrations including, birthday card circulation, gift card acquisition and dessert procurement / preparation.
5.11 Make new file folder labels for new ministries.
5.12 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, such as, but not limited to, printing, scanning, filing, copying and counting premiums.
5.13 Requests all Feedback Forms from customers and upload into computer system (Southware).
5.14 Assist Accounts Payable/Receivable and Human Resources Departments as needed.
5.15 Prepares deposits for donation accounts as needed.
5.16 Maintain Kindful/Constant contact databases as needed.
5.17 Daily load and unload dishwasher.
5.18 Write thank you notes/cards/letters to new customers and new donors.
5.19 Serves as a Notary for the corporation, if needed.
5.20 Water office plants as necessary.
