Location: 1200 Information Technology
Pay Grade: A20
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Under general supervision, maintains and supports all aspects of the City's computer networks.

*This position performs duties deemed to be “safety-sensitive" and is therefore subjected to random drug testing under the City’s policies*

Essential Job Functions

  • Manages all aspects of the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of ERP software applications.
  • Completes assigned help desk tickets, provides support to users, and documents all customer interactions with high attention to detail and accuracy. Supports users with any hardware and network issues regarding accessing ERP software applications.
  • Builds, installs, configures, and maintains ERP application servers.
  • Maintains network connectivity to ERP Application servers for users and vendor access.
  • Sets up and maintains virus protection and ensures all patches and updates are applied to ERP software servers.
  • Manages received assets related to ERP applications, moves equipment within and/or between facilities, executes equipment replacement activities, and coordinates timely repair by working with vendors to accomplish as covered by maintenance agreements.
  • Participates in regular meetings concerning ERP vendor system implementation, status, or City department training sessions.
  • Collaborates with other team members to solve IT problems.
  • Monitors schedules, storage policies, and resource pools for backup of ERP Applications servers.
  • Works with ERP vendors to understand the applications, strategies, and roadmaps for current, updated, and emerging technologies.
  • Creates and maintains necessary documentation on systems and processes.
  • Ensures readiness of disaster recovery processes for all ERP applications server systems.
  • Works on-call on a rotating schedule, which may include some holidays.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

Must possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience, OR a minimum of seven (7) years of related IT experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience relevant to the position.

Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Oklahoma Class D Driver’s license.

Certifications preferred:

  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

Physical Requirements

Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate physical effort in medium work, typically involving some combination of balancing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, handling, hearing, kneeling, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, talking, visual acuity, and walking, and which involves some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.

Other Necessary Requirements

  • Knowledge of ERP systems, application support, integrations, workflows, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery solutions.
  • Knowledge of application deployment processes and environment management, including development, testing, and production environments.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, authentication methods, and system integration practices.
  • Skill in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of technology systems.
  • Skill in troubleshooting ERP system errors, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective solutions.
  • Skill in administering and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, backups, and security.
  • Skill in writing and optimizing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Skill in utilizing Microsoft Power Platform tools including Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
  • Skill in scripting and automation using PowerShell.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in training and guidance of application system users.
  • Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems.
  • Ability to operate computers for data entry, word processing, and technical applications.
  • Ability to operate highly technical computer applications.
  • Ability to repair, develop, or install computer hardware or network systems.
  • Ability to repair, develop, or install complex software or management information systems.
