Blackroom Operator Location: 601 North Poplar Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012
Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Reports To: Millroom Supervisor
Join our manufacturing team as a Blackroom Operator!
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented team member to mix and prepare raw materials that support our millroom operations. This hands-on position plays a key role in maintaining quality standards and keeping production running efficiently.
What You’ll Do -
Read and interpret job travelers and picklists to prepare and mix batches accurately. -
Operate and monitor internal mixers; adjust controls to maintain consistency and quality. -
Assist in millroom operations—feed materials, monitor rollers, and adjust batches as needed. -
Label ingredients with proper Safety Data Sheets (SDS). -
Safely transfer materials using a forklift and complete related documentation in Epicor (MRP system). -
Follow First In/First Out (FIFO) inventory practices. -
Support team members and complete other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Plant Manager.
What We’re Looking For -
Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English. -
Basic math skills and the ability to follow formulas and mixing charts. -
3+ years of experience working with heavy machinery preferred. -
Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days). -
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements -
Occasionally: Lift/push/pull up to 60 lbs., reach overhead, operate forklift. -
Frequently: Walk, lift, calculate, and communicate effectively. -
Constantly: Stand, handle materials, and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
