JOB TITLE: Lead, Shipping & Receiving

REPORTS TO: Shipping/Inspection Supervisor
LOCATION: Owasso, OK
JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for packaging and processing finished small, specialized rubber products for shipment to customers. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed, computerized records of incoming and outgoing parts, managing workflow, processing required department paperwork and shipping documents, and handling incoming raw materials. This position is the first line of defense for problem-solving in the shipping and receiving department.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Prepare products for shipping according to Da/Pro and customer specifications, including packaging for transportation, weighing, and measuring packages.
  1. Ensure that merchandise is in proper condition and that orders are filled properly before the items are sent to customers.
  1. Accurately maintain paper and computer records.
  1. Manage outgoing shipments according to customers’ requests and established company procedures.
  1. Ensure shipping documents are complete, accurate, and processed appropriately at the time of shipment.
  1. Receive and process all incoming deliveries and receipts, log, and deliver via hand truck to nearby building/department.
  1. Receive, log, and process all inbound and outbound transfers.
  1. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  1. Documented experience with mathematical calculations, including weights and measures
  1. Experience with computers and various MS Windows and browser-based software
  1. Ability to manage large amounts of information in an often-changing environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasionally: sit, push/pull up to 50 lbs., reach above shoulder with both hands, and lift/carry 10-50 lbs.
Frequently: stand, walk, reach outward with both hands, count and calculate, lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Constantly: handle/touch
Other: Vision - near/non-color, sense of touch
