Summary/objective
As the second tier in the Machine Operator job family, Operator II’s will meet all requirements, skills, and definitions set forth in the Machine Operator I description. Upon management’s discretion and availability of position/workload, an Operator I can advance to Operator II when the below definitions are met.
Essential functions

- Set up machines for various job runs
- Assist Machine Operator’s with set-up of machines for various job runs.
- Identify proper tool set required for the job
- Install and adjust tool set and guides until desired output results are achieved
- Use calipers and measuring tools to ensure results are within acceptable margins
- Use math to calculate results down to the thousandth decimal place
- Use learned judgment and experience to give advice on tool adjustment as needed
- Help to provide or seek appropriate solutions when production issues arise; follow up to ensure resolution.
- Train and coach new hires on job responsibilities, safety, work practices, etc.
