Civil Project Engineer

Our client, a leading firm in the engineering industry, is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join their team. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will be part of the Civil Engineering Department supporting land development and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Civil Project Engineer
Location: This position is based in our Richmond or Lynchburg office. Please note, this role is not remote.
Pay Range:$90,000 - $115,000
What's the Job?
- Design complex land development and infrastructure projects for federal and state government clients.
- Manage various stages of design, from concept plans through construction documents and construction administration.
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions and ensure project success.
- Mentor junior engineers and support proposal efforts to expand project opportunities.
- Navigate environmental permitting, stormwater management, and utility service infrastructure design.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Registered Professional Engineer in Virginia or North Carolina, or ability to obtain reciprocity within three months.
- 6-10 years of related experience in land development and site design production.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and knowledge of federal, state, and local civil design regulations.
- Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
