Schedule: Monday-Friday 8- 6pm based off business needs, on call escalation, and weekend/night coverage.

Knowledge of direct to customer delivery services and/or DME and Supervisor experience preferred.

Job Summary: The Supervisor, Operations ASHME supervises and coordinates activities of delivery workers and assists operations manager with warehouse staff activities, concerned with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Joint Commission requirements. This role oversees the ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard.

Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Report that meets Saint Francis Health System (SFHS) guidelines.

Work Experience: Minimum 1 year related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal that present clear and concise information. Effective ability to lead others. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Sound ability to maintain professional and courteous and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in adynamic work environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Plans workday and routes for delivery drivers and assists leadership with warehouse staff. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. Drives trucks when necessary to fill service needs and plans maintenance and repair on all company vehicles. Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored. Assigns duties and examines work and records for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped including methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock. Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock. Determines adequacy of stock levels and schedules work for special and periodic inventories. Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates and participates in Improvement of Operational Performance (IOP) activities. Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates, and resolves errors and complaints.

Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.

Working Relationships: Direct supervision of others. Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
