Description

Summary: The Part-Time Electronics Assembly Technician I is primarily responsible for assembling, testing and delivering products and orders for the Floor 2 Labs projects. This position is also responsible for building quality products and repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assemble electronic or mechanical products according to specifications, work orders, or standard operating procedures.
  • Perform basic repairs on devices, cables, or components using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Inspect and test assembled units to ensure quality and functionality before release.
  • Troubleshoot minor issues and escalate complex technical problems to Project Manager.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring tools, parts, and materials are properly stored and labeled.
  • Assist with inventory control, including counting, labeling, and verifying incoming materials and components.
  • Receive and check shipments, ensuring accuracy against packing slips or purchase orders.
  • Track parts usage and report low stock or discrepancies to the inventory manager.
  • Document work performed using company software or logs, maintaining accurate records of assembly, repair, and inventory activity.
  • Follow all safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications: This level of knowledge is normally acquired through a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 – 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
